Bullers Rings and Discs
Bullers Rings and Discs provide an independent, accurate and measurable means of assessing the ‘heat work’ performance within kilns. Like the fired products themselves, the rings and discs react to the effects of ‘time and temperature’, the combined effects of which produce a measurable and defined shrinkage in the ring or disc.This shrinkage can be accurately measured on a gauge to determine the heat treatment to which it has been subjected, and which is shown by a single definable number or Disc Gauge Reading. Bullers Rings are available in various Ring Numbers depending on the kiln firing range.
